The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis
Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 101.17/per barrel (bbl) on 13.06.2013.
This was higher than the price of US$ 100.84/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 12.06.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5909.34/bbl on 13.06.2013 as compared to Rs5875.95/bbl on 12.06.2013. This was due to rupee price increase in dollar terms and also because of rupee depreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 13.06.2013 at Rs 58.41/US$ against Rs 58.27/US$ on previous trading day of 12.06.2013.
