The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell to US$ 101.82/per barrel (bbl) on 20.06.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 104.01/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 19.06.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went down to Rs 6078.65/bbl on 20.06.2013 as compared to Rs 6109.55/bbl on 19.06.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms though rupee depreciation wiped out a significant part of the gains. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 20.06.2013 was Rs 59.70/US$ against Rs 58.74/US$ on previous trading day of 19.06.2013.
